Good points and bad points of JAL

JAL

☆☆☆☆☆

SIN-NRT and NRT-HKG First Class. Superb service, excellent food and champagne/wine selection. Older style seats, but very well maintained and more comfortable than some of the newer pod seats. Bathrooms look as though they are polished between use. Fantastic new VIP departure service in Singapore and golf cart ride in HK from arrival gate to immigration. I always feel really pampered on this airline. by Bill Atkins

ORD-NRT-SIN and KUL-NRT-ORD in C. Used miles to upgrade from Y to C, great use of miles. Service excellent on both transpacific sectors, lucky enough to be able to seat 19K, upper deck exit row in the shell seats makes for a very good trip. Best service on NRT-SIN, FA couldn't do enough for me. KUL-NRT is a sleeping sector for me because it's a redeye. I understand the complaints from the Aussie pax about the old C seats, they are most certainly a let down compared to the shell flat seats. Other major JAL complaint is the IFE. I rarely use it but I can see where it might lag compared to other Asian carriers. by Stephen Ostrander

☆OR☆☆

I had booked 4 Business Class tickets SYD-NRT-SYD on JL772/JL771 in April and was very disappointed with the service. This flight is sold as JAL but it is executed by Jalways which is a low-service subsidiary of JAL. The 55 seats in "Executive" Class were old and offered very limited recline. There were only 2 toilets which is totally insufficient for 55 passengers. There were no welcome drinks and the famous Japanese Aruga Blanca Clareza wine advertized on JAL's website was not served on these flights. The inflight entertainment list suggested a good selection of movies but apparently this required the "Magic III" system and the aircraft only had "Magic II" so the choice was limited to less than 10 English movies (some of which very old). Only cheap and outdated headsets without noise-cancelation capabilities were offered. The food was equally disappointing: we were sitting in the rear of the executive section and, although the flight was not sold out, there was no choice of meals left by the time we were served and we all had to accept a mediocre "western style" meal of not more than regular Economy Class standards. All in all a very disappointing JAL "Executive Class" experience and not worth any money at all over regular Economy Class. by E DeJong

Sydney/Narita/Sydney. We were booked on this flight as part of a package tour to Japan and our first experience of Y class with this airline, having previously flown Business class with them, which was excellent. The seating on the outward flight was narrow and uncomfortable, and the in- flight entertainment poor. When I asked for an eyemask, I was told that ALL amenities for this class had been discontinued 3 months before! The meal served on the outward flight was good, but on the return trip was appalling, and breakfast also poor. Cabin staff were attentive, and cared well for my husband, who was taken ill during the flight. I would not like to repeat this experience. by Pat Davies

☆My lovely Nelly☆

This time, I want to introduce my lovely cat " Nelly!" I live with her now in Minami-makigahara.
The reason why I live with her is that my mother came not to keep her anymore. She had lived with Nelly for 14 years. So, I didn't want to separate them, but I couldn't but to do so. .. But, in spite of my worries, Nerry was soon attached to me. So now we are nice family!! I hope she thinks so too !!

Trip!!

I want to go to Switherland with Mari.T next week! There are many reasons why I want to go. First, I will have exams next week, so I want to escape from them. And why I want to go Switherland is that there are lot's of beautiful nature, delicious foods(ex.cheese fondu) and sheep. Switherland is a place which is shown in a story "Alps no shoujo Haiji." Actually, there is a house which is shown in the story. I really want to see it and enter there!

We will use ”Air France.” From Narita airport to there, it will take us $2,900. We have only $2,500, so we have to rent money from someone.... Our flight will depart at 12:00pm and arrived at 8:00 pm June 30!

We will spend at a hotel "Coeur des Alpes." It will cost $167 a night. Why I chose this Hotel is that this hotel is said to be the best! It is said that this hotels' room and breakfast are very nice! Also its' lobby is small, but so romantic! Many people who have been there says they could enjoy at this hotel. I'm sure we can enjoy many things there! But, it seems to be difficult to book this hotel, so we may not be able to book it soon...but we will try our best to book it!

The places we are planning to go are the chocolate train and Grossmunster(Great church).People who tried this train said the scenery from this train is beautiful, and the chocolate train was amazing the Chocolate and Cheese were delicious. Its bad point seems to be a little short. Grossmunster is a very famous church. We do not need money only to enter, but if we want to climb the tower,we need a couple euro. The scenary from there seem to be very beautiful!!

Pretty princess☆

There is an ordinary girl "Mia" who lead a normal life with her mother and a cat. Her parents divorced when she was young and after divorcing, her father died. When Mia meets her paternal grandmother, she is told the truths that her grand mother is her Majasty the Queen of jenovia and Mia is a future princess. Though she does not want to be a pincess, a loyal lesson starts to polish both her apperance and personarity. She become beauty little by little and she has to decide whether to be a princess or not.

It is a kind of a romantic comedy and a heartwarming movie. Not only the plot, but also the actings are wonderful! However, some people may think it is a childish movie, but I strongly recommend this a light, entertaining movie!

Dream girls☆

"'Dreamgirls' brings back thoughts of a few years ago when the movie musical version of 'Chicago' knocked our socks off, and (with the help of the gorgeous 'Moulin Rouge') helped to revive the modern movie musical. The sets, costumes, musical numbers all flow beautifully and make for an incredibly affecting motion picture. " nibbly

"The performances are something else. Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murhpy, and Anika Noni Rose will blow you away. " : TheatreManiac7

"The story is told as if it revealed something we've never seen before and his winning innocence triumphs. " M. J Arocena

I really want to see this movie. From comments of imdb site, I could find that not only story, but also this sets, costumes, and performances are great. What's more, casts in this movie are really nice! The comments say Byonce Knowles, Danny Glover and other casts play good!
